SUFIYANA......!!

One of the few lucky wee hours witnessed by me till date..I kicked off my bed full of placid spirit with the Saturday Crest relaxing on the floor starring and waiting for its candor kiss as i lost my propensity for the morning aromatic tea.

The thought of my very own existence swiftly took me to the ecstatic world....My body to be my soul,my soul to be my body.

No i was not enlightened...nothing divine, but i felt like resting beside kausar(the heavenly lake) with zephyr blowing through my hairs due to the whirling of dervishes on the Turkish music.

The dancers were not the virgins from heaven but the samaa(sufi scene) was nothing less than what it is at Rumi's tomb at Istanbul.

I opened my left eye slightly to confirm that it was a reality as the the moist old painted roof aberrated with myriads of contours and textures clearly representing my world full of love, mysticism and tranquility.

My eyes averred as my action plans developed a freemasonry with this mystic realization.

My stint as a human was granted its due as the few selfish thoughts were kicked off as they tried to ruse in.

My soul rested in peace, though i was alive revering the first morning thought.....

Khuda ke aashiq to hai'n hazaro'n
bano'n me phirte hain maare maare..
Mai uska banda banoonga jisko...
Khuda ke bando'n se pyaar hogaa...!!

Why Can't we respect BAPU..??

Some questions have no answers...correct? yes.

Nobody can be insisted to respect a legend.....correct? Yes,after all its a democracy.

Some self denying lampoons are always ready to abuse and criticise...correct? Yes,nobody needs a proof.

Some truths can't be established even if pushed by cogent rationalism..correct? NO..lets give it a chance.

A few shots of discussions on our Father of nation

Scene1:

Six future engineers chaffering uder the hazy ghaziabad sky.

Traditionally it started with movies, girls, career and then the waves of patriotism hit the walls of ribs arousing the names of freedom fighters.

Gandhji's name is popped out

Mr A- "India would have been free much before,if he wished."
Mr B- "He was responsible for the capital punishment of Bhagat singh."
Mr C- (with a C class exclamation literally)- "ayyash tha budhaa...!!"

Scene 2:

Three chaps on a bench trying to fight the kumbhkaran hours outside the emergency entry of AIIMS and a policeman sitting on a stretcher smoking bidi in NO smoking zone.

Chap 1- "I dont know who made him the father of nation."
Chap 2- "I even doubt his character."
Policeman(In a typical haryanwi accent)- "I heard his name and lost blood equal to a standard peg of wine."

The cop quits as he sees a bike with tripling.May be the illegal bucks he gets can be used to makeover the lost blood.A bottle of country wine costs less than Rs 100 i guess.

Be it a bench of activists on small town chai shop or brats sipping Irish coffee at premium coffee shops,Gandhiji's name at all the places is synonomous with abuses, lots of blames and creep perception..

Now lets not blame RSS and bhagwa brigades only for gradually instilling this ideology in the society to justify the heinous crime of Nathuraam Godse(a swam sewak).

What about the responsibility of enlightened citizens to explore and come up with opinions?.

Isn't every abuse on BAPU assaulting the dignity of every indian?

Isn't the acquiescence on these senseless talks absurd??
Okies....Whatever.....Nobody cares what he was....RIGHT..??

Unlike chinese,we Indians are blessed with the freedom of expression....lets not exploit it...!!

Lets not abuse,if we can't respect this revered personality..!!
Pass it on..

Incredible india.... Jai hind..!! Gandhi ji amar rahen!!

The Anandmay ehsaas at Anand vihar

Amidst the highly polluted ISBT terminal and the ever bustling jat drivers behind the wheels on Ghaziabad highway, the Anand vihar terminal shone with all its sheen. In spite of having a perfect infra, the station was void of eating joints and poori walas...Silence and ambiance overshadowed the classy tin awnings of the platform.

I was confused and surprised to see all chinky eyes around, for a minute my mind questioned "Was it a gimmick by Prachand(maoist leader) backed by the dragon to increase their influence in Delhi" or "was it a tourist group?" No, contradicted my mind on the second thought; they were more than 300.

Suddenly a group of shy looking youngsters started singing in a regional language, one of them acting as the percussionist by striking coins on the steel bench while others were cheerfully clapping. Even the elders joined them, some of them dancing in tune with the ups and downs of the tone. Their cultural audacity was appreciable to the core.

Though I couldn't understand the lyrics, but the soothing motif and ardor involved me so much that I forgot my hunger. Their celebration & ever increasing energy level took the deserted station to a new high,a happening place.

At the same time a north Indian elder couple(hey,i am not a regionalist) sitting next to me kept cursing them for the non sense and disturbance,as i kept blaming them for theirs.

My grey matter kept contradacting the couples as dey used their cultural yardstick to compare(Do we have any?).whatever but if a culture can make a dull heart lively and make a glutton forget his hunger, then its definitely a rich culture.

Suddenly the train too applauded the singing champs with a sharp whistle as 0430-A made its way out of the fog. I left the bench with lots of well wishes for the north eastern friends and didi (our railway minister) as it was 23:40, the scheduled time of the train(first time in my life,i wished it was late)…

To sum up, the scene at Anand vihar was Politically Incorrect but Etymologically correct(after all ek anandmay ehsaas thaa).

INCREDIBLE INDIA!!!...JAI HIND...!!!

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT JUSTIFIED.........!!

I still remember my childhood civics lesson that claimed that the Indian constitution was the best
in the world with its numerous qualities like detailed, rigid yet flexible, people friendly and crystal
clear.

Since last few years the corridors of my mind were always abuzz with the daily headlines of ongoing
judicial cases like jessica lal murder case, mattu case, nithari case, nitish katara case, afzal guru's case,
ajmal kasab'd case, ruchica's case and uncountable unknown cas
es...i mulled over them again and again
but everytime my logical unit stopped me to voice my opinion as i was blank with law related matters,
but still a human's basic instinct can judge between right and wrong in the public cases.

Isn't it frustating and irritating to see the ongoing cases like Ajmal kasab's case...? With every
indian being an eye-witness for kasab's terrorism involvement.Do they still need more witnesses.
Haven't you seen him with an AK-47(most of us even freshly remember his grey cargo, black t-shirt,
trekking bag and a red band in his right hand).

The authorities say that it is his human right to fight the case, then what about the human rights of
the victims?? and the rights of the people of the nation on a whole..?? justice delayed is justice
denied.

The fact is that our judicial system needs a major re-engineering..we need a fast real time system.

Moreover the outfits promoting regionalism and disturbing the love makers on valentine's day should
utilise their energies for a worthier task by joining my voice---
HANG PEOPLE LIKE KASAB AND AFZAL BY SETTING UP A TIME CONSTRAINED FAST-TRACK COURT....Rahul baba you too join the chorus.

Ao meri awaaz me awaaz mila do....जय हिंद

A simple question-Are 40 pages sufficient for an engineering student to answer questions
of 100 marks in 3 hours....???

Welcome to uttar pradesh technical university(UPTU),the largest technical university of Asia,
undoubtedly running an updated syllabus in the present ever changing technological scenario.
but when it comes to the evaluation of the student, this body opts for a unique method of
restricting the size of the answer sheet, which consists of 40 pages..

The trends of examination keeps changing in general, with a logical restriction on duration,
restriction on the number of choices, distribution of marks...
but it is completely unfair to circle the writing capability of a student in 40 pages.

The answer booklet of UPTU has 20 sheets in it i.e 40 pages, with no provision for extra sheet,
the irony being a column on the cover page asking THE NUMBER OF "B" COPIES ISSUED.

As the time passes, the student keeps checking the number of pages left to accommodate all the
questions...it is true that many find 40 pages more than enough for the questions(i was also one
of them till last semester),but when i completely used all the 40 pages to answer all the questions in most of the subjects in this semester, i realised that it was not at all enough.
many of my friends were bound to leave some questions unattempted as there were NO PAGES LEFT FOR IT...!! isn't it strange..???

Many times there is a state of dilemma when we have to cut and redo some parts of answer
(mostly in numericals )...the reason being the small wastage of page...

I wouldn't discuss the mental harassment and psychological impact,as discussing depression leads
to depression.

We do agree with this approach of UPTU for curbing the unscrupulous means and cheating, but we request them to increase the number of pages to 50( at least)...

Minding them that in spite of inflation, the prices of paper haven't risen that much....even if that's
the case, the future of future engineers is more important than the cost of the paper.

JAI HIND.
